Matthew Cossolotto
President, Ovations International
Matthew
Cossolotto's multifaceted communications career includes
high-profile positions in both the public and private sectors.
Prior to launching Ovations International, Inc., in
1996, Mr. Cossolotto served as a communications executive
and senior speechwriter at GTE, PepsiCo Foods & Beverages
International and MCI Communications.
His corporate communications experience includes creative
direction and editorial responsibility for annual reports,
corporate identity brochures, video production and conference
planning, internal and external newsletters and magazines,
and employee communications.
Mr. Cossolotto also spent eight years on Capitol Hill, working
as special assistant to then-speaker of the U.S. House of
Representatives Jim Wright and as legislative assistant to
then-Representative and former White House chief of staff,
Leon E. Panetta.
The
author of The Almanac of European
Politics, published by Congressional Quarterly
Books, Mr. Cossolotto's articles have appeared in such leading
journals as the Washington Post, The
Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science
Monitor and The Los Angeles Times.
He has spoken about European and American politics to diverse
audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. His speech, entitled "What
the U. S. Can Learn From European Politics" --
delivered to the Greenwich, Connecticut, Rotary Club -- was
reprinted in Vital Speeches of the Day.
In 1992, Mr. Cossolotto helped found the Center
for Voting and Democracy - a non-profit,
educational organization based in Washington, D.C. and
served as its president and Board Chair from 1992 to
1996.

Michael Civiello
Prior to his association with Ovations International, Michael Civiello served as a corporate communications and media affairs writer at Contel Corporation and GTE for nine years.
His responsibilities included internal communications, human resources/benefits communications and public relations, as well as speechwriting support for GTE's three-member Office of the Chairman. Civiello helped to launch several employee and senior management newsletters, was a stringer for a variety of corporate magazines, and provided creative direction on annual reports, conference planning and video productions.
